LOPE Silent Auction Open for Bids Through
Friday, May 11 LOPE (LoneStar Outreach to Place Ex-Racers)'s
Benefit Horse Show on May 12 includes a Silent Auction. So many wonderful
items were donated that LOPE has decided to open the Silent Auction for
online bidding until Friday, May 11 at midnight. Final bidding on the
items must be done live on Saturday during the show.
The auction items include a website design package; a custom equine painting
portrait; a custom professional pencil portrait; an equine photography
portrait; a big doggie "basket" of dog treats; several saddles;
a night at the races at Retama, Sam Houston and Lone Star; and racing
memorabilia.
Four outstanding stallion seasons have been donated. Those seasons are
for a Welsh pony stallion, a Cremello stallion, an Arabian stallion, and
a Texas accredited Thoroughbred stallion. There will be many other items
for auction at the show, as well.

LoneStar Outreach to Place Ex-Racers (LOPE) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
devoted to providing new careers for retiring racehorses of all breeds
in Texas. Through its online services and ranch adoption center, LOPE
has transitioned over 500 Texas ex-racehorses into new homes since 2003.
