TTHPBA Director David Arnold Undergoes Surgical Procedure Following Chest Pains

Texas Thoroughbred HBPA Board Member and past chairman of the Texas Horsemen’s Partnership David Arnold underwent surgery over the weekend as the result of suffering chest pains at his office last Friday. Arnold was taken to the hospital, where doctors preformed tests and discovered that he had serious blockage on a couple of major arteries. The doctors used angioplasty to insert two stints into Arnold’s arteries and took care of the problems.

Arnold started noticing problems and mild warning signs earlier in the week, but when he felt a severe shortness of breath and chest pains on Friday, he knew that things were not good.

Arnold is now home resting and expects to return to work later this week. He said that he feels fine and that he is looking forward to returning to a normal routine.
