Mr. Jefferson Carr, age 77 of Papalote, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2002 at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1924 in Houston Texas. Mr. Carr was instrumental in the formation of Retama Partners, Ltd. who constructed Retama Park, where he served on the board as President.

Carr was a member of the Texas Thoroughbred Association for 16 years and the American Quarter Horse Association for 30 years.

Funeral services for Mr. Carr will be held Saturday, January 19, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Chapel in Corpus Christi.

The family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
